Wings- Little Mix

This song is one of my pump up songs. I love to listen to it when I need to run faster or deal with something that makes me conscious. It is just the perfect song to make me feel better. Now that I have officially finished my first semester of college all I wanna do is have a dance party to this song. My first semester was not easy but I still love it. It was so much fun including the hard parts. Thats the same thing about life. Life is not easy but the hard parts make it worth it. It makes it your life. It makes it you. We are all special and meant to live different lives. There will always be people who tell you that you can't do things or that you shouldn't do things. But you can't listen to them. Don't listen to them. It is your life and your choices. You are meant to soar throughout life. Nothing should stop you. Some things will try and stop you but as long as you are alive, you never have to give up. You never should give up.

How To Save A Life- The Fray

Wow this week has been intense. And long. And hard. But tomorrow is Friday!!! Woot Woot!! Super excited for the weekend. Then I have finals and then I GO HOME!!!! Ok now to the blog :)

SO first thing is first: friendship is hard. It is not 100% easy because that would mean life is perfect is easy. The point of a true friendship is that you are there through the good and the bad. If you can survive the hard moments, then you can get through anything. I am having trouble with that right now but I know that the friendship I have with the person is so strong that we can get through anything. I know that at times life feels hard and you want to shut people out but don't ever push out your friends. 2 reasons. 1. They won't let you do it. Trust me. They will not leave you. 2. You will regret doing that and it will make you feel so much worse. It is not worth it. You need people there during the hard times. Especially in college. When you are in college, the people that you become friends with become your family. They are the people you go out, rely on, and live with. You are not with your family, only friends. So when something is wrong then you go to your friends and you will want them around trust me. 

So how is this related to the song? Well what I want to emphasize is to always be there for your friends. No matter what just be there for them. You never know what will happen or when they will need you and you will want to be there. Also, communication is important. Stay talking to people. It will help you be happy. So those two things! 1. Friends 2. Talking. You need those trust me and your friends need it too. Just don't give up on a friendship when things get hard. It is not worth it. Just be there. Fight for the friendship. :) <3

Moments-One Direction

First off, let me say HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! I love love love thanksgiving!!! So much food and family and fun! It is one of my favorite holidays. 

Now onto the reason for this blog. 

The song 'Moments' is an older One Direction song. It is one of my favorites when it comes to all of your songs. The lyrics are so smooth and full of meaning which is hard to do sometimes. Especially, when there is more than one singer involved. The refrain of the song is the best part of the song I think. The lyrics are "You know I'll be, Your life, Your voice, Your reason to be, My love, My heart, Is breathing for this, Moment, In time, I'll find the words to say, Before you leave me today". I think today was the best day for me to post about this song. This song does remind me of relationships but not only in the romantic sense. I also think of relationships with family. Family is really important. It is something that I am blessed to have not only by blood by also by friends. My best friend (Violet) is like family to me already. I am also convinced that she and I are related secretly. But my aunt and uncle and cousins are my family and I love them to death. Everyday you have a connection to family in some sense. My family is the reason I am here and doing what I love. I go to an amazing school, am majoring in something I really care about, and am alive. They are the reason I wake up in the morning because everyday they are there and everyday they give me a reason to live and wake up the next day. 

So what does this have to do with Thanksgiving? Well, maybe at first you don't see it, but listen to the song a few times and you will see it. This songs talks about the important people in life that give you reason to live while you give them reasons to love. So be thankful that you have these people in your life. Be thankful to have a reason to wake up in the mornings and a reason to just live in general. I have so many people that I am extremely thankful for in my life. All the moments that I have with them have made me who I am. Even the moments that are hard and painful. Every moment has given me to love and live. So be thankful not just on Thanksgiving, but everyday. Be thankful.

One thing that really seriously bothers me is the fact that girls go to bad boys like every time no matter what happened the time before that. I understand the want for rebellion. It is the same as when people start to hang out with the wrong crowd.But what really makes me annoyed is this idea that people can be fixed. You should never try and change someone to make them fit into what you want. You are only going to get hurt. In the same aspect you should never change who you are. There are people you will fit in with and there are people that you will not fit in with. Just because you don't fit in with someone means that you guys just don't click. Its not that there is something wrong with you or them its just that you are not meant to be with someone. We all know who we should hang out with and it is the people you don't need to worry about filtering when your parents show up. We all know what is best for us and we should follow that.

We all go through different stages in life. We have awkward, sassy, rebellious, and confusing parts of our lives. For me it was easier to see my different parts of life because of my hair. No bangs, bangs, long, short, side part, middle part,and you get the picture. But after all of those stages and parts we find out who we are. When I was getting ready to go to college I was informed that this was my time to find who I was. To make a new and solid identity. We all need to do that. It seems scary but it is so much fun. It was fun to go through different moods and tastes in life. So why would we be scared? It just does not make sense. Some people are scared of moving on, growing up, or being rejected. But in reality the right people will come to you. That is when you will discover who you are and how you want to live. It also opens yourself up with so many new opportunities. Live the way you want to live. Because it is time for you to take control and show the world who this amazing person is. ;)

Relationships can be really hard. I don't mean only romantic ones but anyones. Especially if they don't work out. But like Beyonce said, you are the best thing they never had. If the relationship does not work out, then the person does not deserve you. I know that that is hard to accept but moving on is the best thing that you can do. If things are meant to last, they will. The people that you have in your life right now are the best people you can have. If it is hard to keep them in your life or they make you unhappy then they should not be there. I am not here to tell you what to do. All I am is just a girl who is typing on a computer. My advice is though that the people who are meant to be in your life are the people that make you happy and excited about each and everyday that you are with them. They are the ones that you do not have to convince to stay because they would not dream about leaving. If you and someone else do not work out then it is their loss!! They do not deserve to have you in their life. You are an amazing person and people would move mountains in order to know you. That is how it should feel because you are special. You are amazing. YOU ARE ENOUGH. Anyone who does not see that does not deserve you and you are the best thing that they will never have.

Our Kind Of Love- Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum is an on and off kind of band these days. In my opinion, some people may love them all the time. They have their super popular songs and then their songs that like NO ONE in this world listens too. Our Kind Of Love is one of these songs. I listen to it a lot and at first I only listened to it because I thought of it as a love song. Then I realized it can be about friendship. My best friend and are like siblings. I don't know what I would without him. Our friendship is really interesting. We are able to be together all the time and not get sick of each other. However, at the same time we can go months without talking and then pick right back up at some random time. "I love the way that you are up for anything". My best friend and I can go on a walks for hours or go and get ice cream without having too much thought into it. It just works for us. We love each other like siblings. But our love is different. It is a love that has family, friendship, and a unique relationship all wrapped into one. No my best friend is not the bird in the picture above but if you know me then you most likely know who I am talking about. If you don't then maybe you need to get to know me better ;)

It is important to have someone there who you can rely on. A person who will stick by you no matter what. It does not have to be someone who is the same gender as you and if it someone of the opposite sex then you don't have to be interested in them. I think that its better to have someone that you know you will not end up with. Don't spend your time looking for this person. I guarantee that they are already there. <3

I Don't Want This Night To End-Luke Bryan 

Country is the perfect kind of music. You seriously cannot go wrong with Luke Bryan, he is just perfect. LOVE HIM. Being in college I have learned that you don't plan outings until maybe an hour before hand. My friends and I normally just chill on Friday nights and last week we suddenly decided that we were going to go out. So that is what we did and we had the best time ever. We did not want to go back to campus when we left. It was a great way to start off a weekend of studying. What I love is that this song is about having fun. Life is short. You cannot waste a minute of it. A person needs to have spontaneity in life. They need to be able just get up and go do something. That is what can bring you joy in life. It also will bring some of the most important friendships a person can have. When you are spontaneous and free, you show who you really are in some ways. You can show your heart and soul in those moments of freedom. You show what you want in life. So my advice? Go out and do something different. Be free. Be spontaneous. Be wild (within reason). Be you. Go out and have fun. I promise that this will not be something that you will come to regret. You will also never forget it. These stories are the ones you tell your friends and family. It is the one that you tell your kids when you are at that stage. So go out and be you. Be wild. Be free. Be spontaneous.

Does He Know?-One Direction

First off let me just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE One Direction. I mean who doesn't?? They are literally just amazing. Anyway, the song that came up today was 'Does He Know'. We all know that song is about the guy that the girl is dating and whether or not he knows the real person that she is. The girl in the song comes off as innocent and sweet but really she is something else. She is someone who likes to have fun. We also all know that its just a song so it should not be taken seriously. No song should be taken word for word. However, the meaning of the song is something different to me. This song makes me think of how I present myself to every person that I meet. Am I honest with who I am? Do I present myself in a way that I would want to be presented? Sometimes I want to say yes and sometimes I want to say no. If someone asked me, I would probably say yes but think no. I say no because I sometimes worry about people's opinions more than my opinions. After a few instances of worrying too much about what people think, I realized that my opinion and what God believes (I am very religious) about myself is all that matters. So whenever I hear this song, I think am I presenting myself in a way that I would want my future husband to know? I won't know if I am meeting my future husband in the Pryz by the waffle maker or if I am sitting next to him in one of my classes. So it is really important to just be yourself and show who you really are because once you start pretending it is not easy to go back. Because who you are is amazing and is the person worth knowing.
