Outlaws-David Lambert

There is always talk about a guy stealing a girls heart. But in this song there is a line that says "This might sound absurd/but would you be my thief/take all of me/every part." When there is true love, guys or girls don't just love a person and steal their heart. When you are in love you love every part of the person. You love the good, the bad, and the ugly. You love the whole person. You love how they talk, smell, act, and love. You love their family and their friends. You do not just love the person. You love everything. You love their life. You love how they will sing country songs as they make dinner and spin you around the kitchen. You love how they call you "Little Spoon" and will climb on top of you and yell "SCHNUGGLE". You love how they will get on video chat and blow you kisses and tell you that you are beautiful. You love how they will grab you from behind and make you feel safe and protected and how they give you butterflies. You love how they make you melt.

Everyone deserves that kind of love. They deserve that kind of love and happiness. It may be hard to wait for that kind of love but once you find it, the wait is worth it. The important thing after finding that kind of love is not just knowing when to say you love the person but keeping that love. Because that kind of love is once in a lifetime and one in a million.

Like I Would-Megan And Liz

No one is the same. Thus, no one can love or care for anyone the same as someone else. Each relationship that you have will be different. For example, my friend at college (I don't use real names) Tom and I are really close. We go to each other when we have a problem and sometimes we sit there in silence for hours. I can't imagine my college experience without him. He and I really care about each other. However, his friendship with our other friend Bob will not be the same as ours. They could do the exact same things but the love and care that is involved will always be different. We all love and care differently and we also love and care about each person differently. 'Like I Would' is the perfect song for this. 

In the song it says- "She won't love you like I would". There was this guy that I liked but he did not feel the same way. The girl that he did like is this other girl that is the polar opposite from me. It was really hard to deal and the way that he acted after I found out was not very mature. After talking to him though, I realized that this is how he act and I need to always remember that we have different versions of acting like friends. I can only control myself though. The way that he acts is out of my control and I can only be aware of the differences at times. In another sense however, I will never care for him like that girl does. Maybe at the time, he needs that care and will need mine later on. However, I also need to just be the girl that will always be there for him but remember that its just a friend relationship. 

There is another way of looking at this song. Best Friends. My best friend in college is my other half. I don't know what I would do without her. I only met her maybe a month and a half into the semester and now its almost the end of the semester. She and I have been friends ever since. Because on the title of the song ('Like I Would'), the meaning of my friendship came to life. I care about Violet the way that I would care about myself and she does the same. She and I are almost the same person so the way that we care about each other is the same as we would want for ourselves. This is the friendship that everyone should have. This is a friendship that brings out the best of each other. Confidence, beauty, happiness, intelligence, and so on. It is all brought out by my best friend. I want everyone to have that. 

Always remember that each relationship is different because the love and care put into it is different.

Cinderella- Daughtery 

So if you are wondering who the guy behind me is, that is my boyfriend. This is from when I saw him over spring break. My boyfriend is my best friend and I am really glad to have him in my life. There is just something about our relationship that is very different from previous relationships that I have been in. For one, I do not feel like I need to date him. I still feel like the girl that was friends with him last semester. Not a lot has changed. I feel really lucky to have a guy who is so supportive of me. There is one thing that I really love about our relationship and that is the music that we share. There are a couple of songs that he knows I love. One is Cinderella by Daughtery. He plays it to cheer me up or just because. 

I love that song because it explains how every girl should be treated in a relationship. A lot of people forget that 'Honeymoon' Phase in a relationship and so the feeling of love, respect, and just feeling special is lost. The guy should be our prince and we should be their Cinderella. That is how we should feel. There is a line in the song that says "I gotta say, You still take my breath away, That look reminds me of that day, You scratched your number on that yellow post-it note". Those words make me smile everytime that I hear them. It is important to remember that girls, you are worth more than you think. You deserve to be treated like you are Cinderella. Don't underestimate how much you are loved or how much you deserve to feel like you are worth it. :) <3

If you have never seen the music video by Cimorelli called "You're Worth It" you should go watch it. All the quotes at the top of this are from the video. This is not one of the video that you see the famous pretty girls that are saying you should love yourself. This video is saying I know it is hard and I know that it hurts but you deserve to love yourself. You deserve to feel like you are worth it. You see a new side to these girls and when I watched it, I started looking at how I treated myself. It is hard to love yourself unconditionally. We always look for flaws but it is not worth it. It will not help you. 

Everyone deserves to feel loved, beautiful, and worth it. I am not trying to be preachy or go all religious, but God made us. He made us in his image and we are his sons and daughters. He will always love us and we will always have that love because God is love. And we are all a little piece of God. So we have that love and the love that he additionally has for us. We deserve to be happy with ourselves. There is no definition of beauty. Well that is not true. There is a definition of beauty but it is not what you think. Beauty is loving who you are and being yourself. It is showing the uniqueness that is inside you and owning it! For example, I sing and I love hair and fashion. But my style is really different. I go from professional to comfy to party to boho chic. I call my style Boho-Chic de Moi. That is just who I am. I come up with weird things like that and I own it. No one can get to me by hating on my style, personality, singing, or anything else. They can hate all they want but I don't care. The only opinions that matter are your own of yourself and those who support you. So go be you and own it!

SO BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE WORTH IT. BECAUSE YOU ARE NEVER TOO MUCH AND ARE ALWAYS ENOUGH.

She Will Be Loved- Maroon 5

I have had a long term obsession with Maroon 5. They just make the best songs for whatever you are feeling. Well, I feel that for a lot of artists but just the name Maroon 5 makes my life. My favorite song that they ever recorded will always be "She Will Be Loved". I just think that the message behind it is a little hard to see but when you do see it, it is so beautiful. 

This song is obviously about a guy and a girl. The girl is struggling with accepting who she is. She has this friend who is always there to help her and he loves her but she would always be in a relationship. The guy in the song is saying that he will always be there for her no matter what. He wants her to be loved and feel beautiful. At one point the song says "My heart is full and my door's always open/You can come anytime you want". Girls there is someone like that out there. It might be the person that you don't expect but they are there. I know it sometimes feel like you are not good enough and no one will love you. But I can tell you from first hand experience that, that is not true. We don't give guys enough credit. They notice a lot more than we think. Especially if they care about you, they pick up on a lot. Another part in the song is "I know where you hide/All alone in your car/Know all of the things that make you who you are/I know that goodbye means nothing at all/Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls". The guys that care about the most are the ones you will try and push away. I am guilty of that. It is because it scares us to know that someone could know us so well. It means we can't hide who we are from them. It is also easier to push someone away because then we cannot get hurt. But the people who truly care will not let that happen. They won't let you be alone or push them away. 

This song is good to help people realize how they will always have someone there to love them. They are never alone. So don't forget that.

Classic-MKTO

Every girl wants to feel like they are special. They want to feel noticed and loved. Which is why I really like this song. It brings back the traditional ways of making a girl feel like she's noticed. It does not require us to wear skimpy clothes or constantly try and get a guys attention. My favorite line from it is "Baby, you're so classic". It is just such a simple phrase but it means a lot. It means that we are unique. 

The definition of classic means that something has been decided to be the best of its kind; it is an example of excellence; and it is something elegant. Every girl that I know would love to be called that. I would love that. But sometimes it is told to us without knowing it. Sometimes the smallest things that are said, turn out to be the nicest and the best. There is this guy that I know. The other day he told me that I have had his attention for a while. It was such a small thing to say but it was what I needed at the time. It made me so happy. So girls look out for the little things, don't wait for a big message. You are going to get more small things than big and they will make you happy.

Try- Colbie Caillat

Colbie Caillat wrote a beautiful song called "Try". In the song it talks about the stereotypes that girls go through. For example, feeling like they have to wear makeup, spending almost all their money on clothes, and a lot more. And you know what? She's right. Girls live with all of this pressure and pain and they should not have to. Another thing that girls do is that they act like these girls without emotions just so they can impress some guy. They try to be sexy and perfect when in reality they are broken inside and they just want a guy to love them without all the pressure. Too many girls feel like they have to do something or be something in order to be loved. I have felt like that and its not fair. Girls should feel loved no matter what. So this blog posting is specifically for all the girls out there who feel like they are not good enough and the guys who need to be reminded about how all girls should be treated like princesses.

I know how hard it is with all the stereotypes. I struggle with self-image and acceptance and everything. It is not an easy thing and there are days that I feel worthless. I know the pain and the struggle. But just remember that you are loved and beautiful. You are all worth it.

"You is kind. You is smart. You is important". Let me just say that I love The Help and mostly just because of that one line. It is something that has stayed with me for over three years. I used to not take the line seriously until I was with one of my best friends. I was crying because of a boy and she looked at me and she said those 9 words to me. It was mostly just to make me smile but it made a huge difference. That's when I started to really believe in those words. Girls are kind, smart, and most of all they are important. Girls you should never feel like you have to wear or do certain things in order to be noticed. The people who notice you when you are in leggings, a shirt, no makeup, and messy hair are the ones that are worth your time. They accept you for who you are. They will accept you for your true beauty. Who you are as a person is a lot more important than how you look one particular day.

"Take your makeup off, Let your hair down, Take a breath, Look into the mirror at yourself, Do you like you? Cause I like you".

Girls just remember you should only wear makeup and get dressed up and do your hair because you want to. Not because you feel like you have to. Its your life, your body, your choice.
